“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” – Mark Twain
As long as I remember, I had been dreaming to travel. And if not dreaming then writing about those dreams to see the world. And if not writing, then couch-traveling with the 24*7 travel channels sitting in my living room.
Month back, circumstances changed, things happened and I took a decision to travel. Since parents weren’t willing to accompany and I knew friends wouldn’t make it either because of office and work, I decided to take off solo. And that was the tipping point, without sounding too dramatic about it.
Right now, I have no agenda when it comes to travel. I am no great photographer either. All I have is passion and lot of it. Having tasted the freedom now, I want to travel far and beyond, to places old and new, raw and exotic, beaches and mountains, cities and towns, food havens and photography delights alike. I just want to go out and see the world. At least as much as I can afford and as much as the time permits.
With this space, I will share my travel stories, anecdotes, food tales, journeys and all things interesting and worth sharing and telling, found on the roads and highways.
They might not be world-class travelogues but I assure the stories will be an honest attempt, written from the heart and with same passion I have been writing all this while. J
