English Vinglish

Day 5. Letter 'E'.

The thing is every time I get a friend request on Facebook from someone I do not seem to know; I usually message and ask him/her if I know her. And as much as I get irritated with such random friend requests, the response to the messages keeps me entertained. There is a pattern to these messages; a handful of names in the friend list and English that shall make the language expert shake his head in disbelief.

This is not to offend anyone not knowing the language, but the point is why can’t you converse in a language you are comfortable in?

Some such samples handpicked by me! J

 So...

 Ahem...

 And...

English is exorcised in these, yes and I do feel bad about it and if you have been really sad all day today, these may just end up making you laugh!

  4. Quite interesting. It's good to be on guard when requests come from unknown persons. I agree with you.

  5. Why you are not allowing man to be the friends of you, Naina? you must make fraanship with to all the peoples only! ;)

  6. Reminds me of the famous fraaanship requests from Orkut days. Bad grammar is such a turn-off, but also a guilty pleasure, depending on how you look at it :P

  7. You don't want to make fraandship with men folk. How disappointed the men will be!

  9. I am sooo lucky. I don't get FB requests like that. Just those e-mail requests saying to give them my bank account # so they can put millions of $$ into it. Could be the same guys who seek friendship of you. haha

  16. It's gotten to the point where, if they have over 400 friends, I figure they are trying to up their friend count!

  17. haha...love this. thanks for the laugh. I totally don't get the "friend requesting" random strangers thing. Personally, I enjoy the emails begging me for help. You'd be amazed at how many people desperately need for me to deposit their million dollars in my bank account. hehe

  18. LOL. You're so popular to have all these people "want to make friendship with you." I usually ignore requests from people I don't know. Once in awhile, if they don't seem nuts, I'll just put them on "Restricted." I never post anything I don't want public anyway.

The A to Z blog said in the latest post to add a link to your own A to Z blog in the comments, so here's mine: kristenhead.blogspot.com
