Day 5 prompt for "May Photo A Day Challenge : A challenge that will
change your life" is 'Paper'.
Some day in November 2011, around 7:30 in the evening. I was as
usual wandering in Connaught Place with my sister. And then there were these 2
females shopping some knick-knacks. One of them looked familiar. I looked
closely and it was famous filmmaker Mira Nair. I immediately went
upto her and she came across as a really warm and soft-spoken person. I told
her how much I loved Monsoon Wedding. And she asked me things about Delhi.
When it came to taking her autograph, I did not have a notepad to
take it in. I scrambled in my bag for some bit of paper for her to sign on.
Ultimately, I took her autograph on a sheet of paper that had some office
things written on one side.
I folded the paper and kept it in my wallet. My only grudge was I
missed taking a picture with her.
She autographed it as (if you cannot read it clearly in the
picture):
‘Salaams dear Naina!
In solidarity.
Mira Nair’
Wow!! That's a priceless memento. I have Amitabh Bachchan's autograph... met him at Chennai airport! :)
