Long nights in a city

Long days turn into even longer nights,
a sleeping world through the glass window.
From a high-rise to the hutments and pavements,
tired bodies nesting.
With a partially cloudy sky and a peeping moon,
watching over it all.

Written for National Poetry Writing Month. 30 poems in 30 days. Today’s prompt is to rewrite a famous poem, giving it our own spin. I chose And The Moon And The Stars And The World by Charles Bukowski.
