Udaipur in Rajasthan is surrounded by lakes and is known as ‘Venice
of the East’ and the ‘City of lakes’. They all make the city more beautiful and
enchanting. Infact, the lakes give the city a feel of a romance, an affair that
you want to keep with you forever in your heart.
Today, for letter L, nothing better strikes to me than take
a trip down the memory lane, dig into the lakes that make Udaipur such a
romance and fall in love all over again! So, here I take you along with me on a
trip to the Lakes of Udaipur.
Fateh Sagar Lake
Jaisamand Lake - It is known to be the largest man-made lake in Asia. The place is so peaceful and quiet that you will forget every chaos that surrounds you
.Here is moi with my best girl!
Now, the very famous and the one that lends to the romance of the city, Lake Pichola
Boating in Pichola is a must. You get such a close and breath-taking view of City Palace and Jag Mandir. Here is me, just off the boat in the sunset.. :-)
And the night view of the lake from the top of Karni Mata temple. You can see the beautifully lit-up Jag Mandir and City Palace.
On my trip to Udaipur last year, I fell in love with the
city, the lakes. I wrote another post on this. You may read it here.
Have a happy weekend. See you all on Monday with M!
