May Photo A Day : Day 20 : Light

In a country that celebrates Diwali, the festival of lights, you don’t need to look too far to seek light! This is my most favourite day in the whole year and as soon as one Diwali is over, I look at the next year’s calendar to check when does Diwali fall.

These are the pictures of our neighbourhood all decked up with lights in blue, yellow, green, red and different shapes decorating every house. In those lights, every difference and negativity just fades away into darkness. Really.

This is Janpath market in Connaught Place all decked up.

And, these are the phooljhadis. Mote papa gets just a box for Zingy and myself to get the feel of crackers and phooljhadis are the only closest we can ever be to crackers!

I mentioned this in my Delhi post too that if you want to see the true spirit of Diwali, head to Delhi. :-)
